Resolution to authorize the Director of Public Works to amend an existing agreement with Mead & Hunt, Inc. (formerly Symbiont, Inc.) for GIS support services related to the design of a lead service line GIS application in an amount not to exceed $14,500.

WHEREAS, the City has an existing agreement with Mead & Hunt, Inc. for GIS services for the design of various GIS applications in the amount of $7,500; and,

 

WHEREAS, the City previously amended the agreement amount from $7,500 to an additional $24,050.  The City will need further assistance from Mead & Hunt, Inc. to provide GIS services and create an application for the Lead Service Line Inventory, which was mandated by the Environmental Protection Agency’s revised Lead and Copper standards, with a compliance deadline of October 2024; and,

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that up to $14,500 is hereby approved for Mead & Hunt, Inc. for the design of a Lead Service Line inventory application to assist in meeting compliance of the revised Lead and Copper standards; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to enter into an amended agreement for the creation of a Lead Service Line Inventory application with Mead & Hunt, Inc.; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funding for the amended professional services agreement will be charged to budgeted 2023 funds in account number 501-2901-537.30-02 (Water Utility, Administrative and General Expenses, Consulting Services).
