Resolution approving the 2013 sanitary sewer user charge - City portion

WHEREAS, Section 1.07(4)(e) authorizes the Common Council to revise sanitary sewer user charges, as necessary, to insure that the system generates adequate revenues to pay the cost of operation and maintenance, including replacement of the Sanitary Sewer Collection System; and,
WHEREAS, the 2013 budget, approved by the Common Council on November 20, 2012, requires no increase in the sanitary sewer user charge to pay the cost of operation and maintenance, including replacement of the City Sanitary Sewer Collection System.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that there be no 2013 increase in the rates for the sanitary sewer user charge- city portion, and that the rate will remain $1.53 per ccf (hundred cubic feet) of water used effective January 1, 2013. The minimum quarterly charge will remain $15.30 per quarter.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Manager be and is hereby directed to notify each user of the Sanitary Sewer Collection System of the aforesaid rate as provided in Section 1.07(4)(f) of the Revised Municipal Code.
