Resolution Approving an Agreement with MMSD to receive $35,500.00 in funding through the MMSD Green Solutions Program for the removal of concrete and asphalt terrace areas and replacement with sod and trees in 2027.
Body
WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statues Section 66.0301 authorizes any municipality to enter into an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement with another municipality for the furnishing of services; and,
WHEREAS, the City of West Allis recognizes the importance of the use of Green Infrastructure for managing storm water in a sustainable manner; and,
WHEREAS, in this action the City has declared its intent to work with MMSD on this Green Infrastructure project to remove concrete and asphalt terrace areas and replace with sod and trees to capture and retain stormwater,
WHEREAS, the MMSD will provide funding not to exceed $35,500.00 for the removal of the concrete and asphalt terrace areas and replacing them with sod and trees through their Green Solutions Program; and,
WHEREAS, the City will maintain records documenting all expenditures made during the planting of trees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the City Engineer be and is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a Green Solutions Funding Agreement with the MMSD for the removal of concrete and asphalt terrace areas and the replacement of those areas with sod and trees in 2027, a copy of the Green Solutions Funding Agreement is attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the total eligible estimated share of $35,500.00 is the MMSD cost. It is understood that West Allis will perform the work in compliance with the funding requirements.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Engineer be and is hereby authorized to make such non-substantive changes, modifications, additions and deletions to and from the various provisions of the Agreement, including any and all attachments, exhibits, addendums and ...
