Resolution to approve bid of Wm. Sackerson Const. Co., Inc., for the construction of a concrete skate park, miscellaneous concrete and steel features, storm sewer, concrete curb and gutter, lighting, landscaping and restoration at the West Allis Skate Park located at 8300 West National Avenue in the City of West Allis, in the amount of $651,175.67.

WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of Wm. Sackerson Const. Co., Inc. for 2013 Project No. 14 be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of Wm. Sackerson Const. Co., Inc. for 2013 Project No. 14 for:
construction of a concrete skate park, miscellaneous concrete and steel features, storm sewer, concrete curb and gutter, lighting, landscaping and restoration at the West Allis Skate Park located at:
8300 West National Avenue
for the sum of Six Hundred Fifty-One Thousand One Hundred Seventy Five and 67/100 dollars ($651,175.67)
be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said improvements be installed with funding by Community Development Block Grant funds and private funding.
