Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Milwaukee 2-Way for installation, conversion and programming of radio equipment for a total net sum of $26,300.00.
Body
WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it has received a proposal for furnishing implementation services for the trunked mobile radio system for the Police, Fire and Public Works Departments of the City of West Allis, that the proposal received was reasonable; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Milwaukee 2-Way be accepted; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing/Central Services Division of the Department of Administration & Finance has determined that this contract is inappropriate for competitive selection due to the sole source nature of trunked radio communication equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal submitted by Milwaukee 2-Way for furnishing installation, conversion and programming of equipment necessary for migration of the existing radio equipment to the Milwaukee County trunked radio system for the total net sum of $26,300.00 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid services.
