Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Works/City Engineer to amend an existing agreement with Ring & Duchateau for engineering services related to replacing and upgrading the heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems at the Health Department and Senior Center buildings in an amount not to exceed $32,000.
Body
Whereas, the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems at the Health Department and Senior Center buildings are in need of replacement and upgrading; and,
 
Whereas, Ring & Duchateau provided engineering services to the City for replacement of chillers at the Police Station and at City Hall; and,
 
Whereas, time is of the essence because of the long lead time in ordering and delivery of commercial type HVAC equipment; and,
 
Whereas, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis to accept the engineering services agreements with Ring & Duchateau in order to prevent an emergency condition at either the Health Department or Senior Center buildings.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that up to $32,000 is hereby approved for both projects to be funded through the appropriate City accounts.
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be and is hereby authorized to enter into agreements for engineering services with Ring & Duchateau.
