Title

Resolution relative to accepting the proposals of Lakeside International Truck and Truck Country for furnishing three (3) Truck Chassis for a total sum of $231,431.00.

Body

WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it duly advertised a request for proposal for furnishing and delivering truck chassis for the Public Works Department of the City of West Allis, that the proposals received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable; and,

WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposals of Lakeside International Truck and Truck Country be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated January 6, 2009 submitted by Lakeside International Truck for furnishing one (1) 2009 International 7600 Tandem Truck Chassis for $102,875.00 and the proposal dated January 5, 2009 submitted by Truck Country  for two (2) 2010 Freightliner M2 106V Single Axle Truck Chassis for $128,556.00 for a total sum of $231,431.00 in accordance with City of West Allis RFP #1015 be and is hereby accepted.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid equipment.
