Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Ewald Automotive Group and Badger Truck for furnishing and delivering seven (7) vehicles for a total sum of $119,040.78.
Body
WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it has received a joint proposal through V.A.L.U.E. in Local Government for furnishing and delivering vehicles for the Fire and Public Works Department of the City of West Allis, that the proposals received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposals of Ewald Automotive Group and Badger Truck be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposals submitted by Ewald Hartford Ford for three (3) Ford F250 8600 GVW, 4x2 long bed pickups for $48,057.00 and one (1) Ford F350 11000 GVW Cab & Chassis for $17,954.00; Ewald Chrysler for one (1) DH7L42 8600 GVW, 4x2 Crew Cab, long bed pickup for $18,929.00; and Badger Truck for two (2) Ford Escape 4000 GVW 4x4 SUV's for $34,100.78 for a total net sum of $119,040.78 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid equipment.
