Resolution approving the transfer of $25,000 from the Contingency Fund to the Municipal Court Computer Equipment Software Account for the acquisition and implementation of the TiPss court software package and related hardware.
Body
WHEREAS, the Municipal Court has attempted for years to implement a new computer software program in conjunction with the Police Phoenix System; and,
WHEREAS, that effort has been unsuccessful; and,
WHEREAS, the Municipal Court, in cooperation with the Police Department and IT Division, has researched alternatives; and,
WHEREAS, that joint effort has identified the Municipal Court computer software program, TiPss, as meeting all necessary requirements; and,
WHEREAS, the TiPss program will require $25,731.50 for its purchase, implementation, and training; and,
WHEREAS, the funds necessary for this are not available in the Municipal Court budget and, therefore, need to be transferred from the City's Contingency Fund for this purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of West Allis that $25,000 is hereby approved for the transfer of said amount to the Municipal Court Computer Equipment Software Account for the acquisition and implementation of the TiPss court software package and related hardware.
