Resolution relative to accepting the proposals of various nurseries for furnishing and delivering 460 trees for spring planting for a total net sum of $43,694.00.
Body
WHEREAS, The Purchasing Division has reported that it duly advertised a request for proposal for various species of trees for the Public Works Department of the City of West Allis, that the proposals received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposals hereinafter mentioned be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposals submitted by Chestnut Ridge Nursery for 219 trees for $17,542.00, Johnson’s Nursery for 9 trees at $1449.00, Kankakee Nursery for 24 trees at $2183.00, McKay Nursery for 32 trees at $3160.00, Minor’s Garden Center for 17 trees at $1683.00, Needles & Leaves for 11 trees at $1138.00, Schichtel’s Nursery for 69 trees at $6276.00, Silver Creek Nurseries for 13 trees at $706.00, Site One Landscape Supply for 29 trees at $4882.00, Tillman Wholesale Growers for 8 trees at $900.00 and Wayside Nursery for 29 trees at $3775.00 for a total net amount of $43,694.00 in accordance with City of West Allis RFP 1314 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid trees.
