Title

Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Davies Water for furnishing and delivering fire hydrants for a total sum of $81,738.18.

Body

WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it duly advertised a request for proposal for fire hydrants for the Public Works Department of the City of West Allis, that the proposals received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable; and,

WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Davies Water be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated February 24, 2009 submitted by Davies Water for furnishing Fifty-Four (54) 2009 Clow Medallion fire hydrants for $81,738.18 in accordance with RFP #1025 be and is hereby accepted.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid equipment.
