Resolution to approve bid of Capitol Pavers, Inc. for street construction, sanitary sewer relay, sanitary sewer, storm sewer relay, storm sewer, water main relay, water main, building services and utility adjustments in West Grant Street from S. 68th Street to South 76th Street in the City of West Allis, in the amount of $1,018,457.47.

WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of Capitol Pavers, Inc. for 2009 Project No. 5 be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of Capitol Pavers, Inc. for 2009 Project No. 5:
Street Construction, Sanitary Sewer Relay, Sanitary Sewer, Storm Sewer Relay, Storm Sewer, Water Main, Water Main Relay, Building Services and Utility Adjustments in West Grant Street from S. 68 St. to South 76 Street in the City of West Allis
(PLAN FILE NOS. SP-1144, S-1364, S-1365, S-1366, X-804,
U-2472, U-2473, W-1252, W-1253)
for the sum of One Million Eighteen Thousand Four Hundred Fifty-Seven dollars and 47/100 ($1,018,457.47)
be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said improvements be installed with funding by Sanitary Sewer Funds, Storm Water Management Funds, Water Utility Funds, Bond Funds and Funds from Special Assessments.
