Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Clarke Mosquito Control for furnishing and delivering mosquito larvacide for a total net sum of $22,968.96.
Body
WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it has received a proposal for furnishing and delivering 7040 doses of Altosid XR and 5600 doses of Vectolex WSP mosquito larvacides for the Health Department of the City of West Allis, that the proposal received was reasonable; and,
WHEREAS, the West Allis Health Department has determined that this contract is inappropriate for competitive selection due to the need for Clarke's unique disposable pouch packaging, which facilitates a quicker, less costly means of distribution; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Clarke Mosquito Control be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated May 14, 2003 submitted by Clarke Mosquito Control for furnishing and delivering 7040 doses of Altosid XR for $18,768.96 and 5600 doses of Vectolex WSP for $4,200.00 for the total net sum of $22,968.96 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to issue a purchase order for the aforesaid supplies.
