Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of various suppliers for furnishing and delivering valves, water boxes and extensions for a total sum of $153,280.15.
Body
WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it duly advertised a request for proposal for furnishing and delivering valves, water boxes, extensions and various related hardware for the Public Works Department of the City of West Allis, that the proposals received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposals of Ferguson Waterworks, First Supply-Milwaukee and HD Supply Waterworks be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated February 10, 2014 submitted by Ferguson Waterworks for furnishing butterfly valves, adaptors & valve extensions in the amount of $15,570.00; the proposal dated February 10, 2014 submitted by First Supply-Milwaukee for furnishing valve boxes & gate valves in the amount of $118,118.15 and the proposal dated February 7, 2014 submitted by HD Supply Waterworks for furnishing chimney seals in the amount of $19,592.00 for the total net sum of $153,280.15 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid materials.
