Title
An Ordinance to amend Sections 2.76(12)(c)(1) and (4) Relative to the Number of Required Years of Service for Retired Employees to be Eligible for Participation in the City's Employee Health Insurance Program.
Body
The Common Council of the City of West Allis do ordain as follows:
PART I. Section 2.76(12)(c)1. shall be amended to add the following at the end of the paragraph:
"Retired employees hired on or after April 1, 2008 are eligible for the coverage described in this paragraph, provided they have completed fifteen (15) full years of service with the City of West Allis at the time of retirement; this provision is applicable to non-represented employees and those represented employees as specified in existing and future ratified union bargaining agreements."
PART II. Section 2.76(12)(c)4. shall be amended to add the following at the end of the paragraph:
"Alderpersons and the Municipal Judge beginning their term of office on or after April 15, 2008 shall be eligible for the coverage described in this paragraph if they have completed fifteen (15) full years of service with the City of West Allis at the time of retirement from office."
PART III. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
PART IV. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and publication.
