Resolution relative to updating the procedures and operations of the pay classification system for nonbargaining unit employees.
Body
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 20042, adopted August 19, 1980, and Resolution No. 21108, dated December 6, 1983, and updated by Resolution No. 24542, dated December 20, 1994, outlined certain procedures relative to the Job Evaluation Committee and the pay classification system for non-bargaining unit employees; and,
WHEREAS, recently, a Special Task Force appointed by the Administration & Finance Committee conducted a comprehensive review of the pay classification system for non-bargaining unit employees; and,
WHEREAS, the Special Task Force made certain recommendations to improve the job evaluation structure, training, and communication; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to update the procedures and operations of the job evaluation and pay classification system as recommended by the Task Force.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that Resolution Nos. 24542 is hereby rescinded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the attached procedural and operational report is approved as a replacement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of the attached report should be provided to all non-bargaining unit employees.
