Resolution approving an amendment to the Community Development Block Grant Action Plan, B-12-MC-55-0011.
Body
WHEREAS, the Common Council adopted the FY 2012 CDBG Annual Plan under R-2011-0200; and,
WHEREAS, following HUD review of the Annual Plan, several amendments were proposed to improve alignment with CDGB federal regulations; and,
WHEREAS, the amendment would eliminate the Economic Development Management Activity in the amount of $165,765 and reallocating funds as follows; and,
· Increase the $90,000 Economic Development Loan Program Activity by $140,000 for a total activity amount of $230,000;
· Increase the $30,000 Commercial Façade Improvement Program by $20,000 for a total activity amount of $50,000,
· Increase the $25,000 Micro-enterprise Technical Assistance Activity program by $5,000 for a total activity amount of $30,000.
Whereas, the amendment would eliminate the Redevelopment Management Activity in the amount of $34,860 and reallocate funds as follows; and,
· Create Redevelopment Management Activity - 113th and Greenfield (Home Juice) with a budget of $11,620
· Create Redevelopment Management Activity - 54th and Burnham St (Teledyne) with a budget of $11,620
· Create Redevelopment Management Activity - 84th and Greenfield Avenue with a budget of $11,620
Whereas, these amendments are for catalytic economic and redevelopment projects important to the City and CDBG program; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Development has recommended approval of the amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that it hereby approves an amendment to the Community Development Block Grant Action Plan, B-12-MC-55-0011.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the amendment eliminates the Economic Development Management Activity in the amount of $165,765 and reallocates funds as follows:
