Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Milwaukee 2-Way for an E911 Communication Center for the total sum of $220,477.00.
Body
WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it duly advertised a request for proposal for an E911 Communication Center for the Police Department of the City of West Allis, that the proposals received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Milwaukee 2-Way be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the revised proposal dated January 3, 2008 submitted by Milwaukee 2-Way for furnishing, installing and training of a Plant/CML E911 Communication Center for a net sum of $182,777.00. Additional supportive items that will be needed with this system are five AT&T trunks for $18,400, ANI/ALI controller for $4,300, dispatch modification for $10,000 and miscellaneous components for $5,000 for a total net sum of $220,477.00 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division request approval to transfer the sum of $50,977.00 from the Capital Accumulation-General account balance for the E911 Communication System.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the majority of the funds for this project will be available thru a Public Service Commission Grant that the Police Department obtained for $169,500.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid equipment and services.
