Title

An Ordinance to amend Section 1.08(7), Interest and Penalty on Delinquent Accounts, of the City of West Allis Revised Municipal Code by creating a new subparagraph (c) regarding waiving such amounts under certain unique circumstances.

Body

The Common Council of the City of West Allis do ordain as follows:

PART I.  Section 1.08(7), Interest and Penalty on Delinquent Accounts, is hereby amended by creating the new subparagraph (c).

1.08      TAX COLLECTION.

(7)      Interest and Penalty on Delinquent Accounts.

"(c)      The City Treasurer is hereby authorized to waive the interest and/or penalty on delinquent real estate accounts based on certain unique circumstances involving missing the 5-day grace period."

PART II.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

PART III.  This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and publication.
