Title

Resolution relative to selecting Spohn Ranch, Inc. to provide the City of West Allis with professional architectural consulting and design services for a West Allis Skate Park in the amount up to $35,000.

Body

WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide for consultant services for the site selection and design services associated with the proposed West Allis Skate Park; and,

WHEREAS, the City of West Allis has allocated $145,726 of Community Development Block Grant funding from the Federal Government Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the proposed West Allis Skate Park; and,

WHEREAS, the plan for the West Allis Skate Park will analyze future maintenance costs; and,

WHEREAS, said work will facilitate site selection and design options for further public review and comment; and,

WHEREAS, through a Request for Qualifications, the Department of Development, has sought and reviewed the qualifications of skate park design consultants for a proposed project within West Allis.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis as follows:

1. That the Director of Development, or its designee, be and is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract to retain a skate park consultant for a proposed West Allis Skate Park, up to $35,000, on behalf of the City.

2. That the sum of up to $35,000 has been appropriated for a skate park consultant for a proposed West Allis Skate Park, to be funded by Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds.

3. That the Director of Development is hereby authorized and directed to select Spohn Ranch, Inc. to perform the aforesaid work.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be and is hereby authorized to make such substantive changes, modifications, additions and deletions to and from the various provisions of the Agreement, including any and all attachments, exhibits, addendums and amendments, as may be necessary and proper to correct inconsisten...
