Resolution Authorizing the Director of Public Works/City Engineer to enter into an agreement with Kahle Builders, LLC in the amount of not to exceed $32,000 to finish window replacement at the Public Works Yards.

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works working with Honeywell Corporation replaced a number of windows at the Public Works Yard; and,
WHEREAS, Honeywell replaced as much of the windows at the Yard with the available funding; and,
WHEREAS, the remaining, old windows are in very poor condition wasting a large amount of energy; and,
WHEREAS, Kahle Builders, LLC was the window subcontractor of Honeywell Corporation; and,
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works feels that Kahle Builders is well qualified to finish the project and replace all the remaining, old windows; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the quotation from Kahle Builders, LLC be accepted because of the special nature of this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that up to $32,000 is hereby approved to be funded through any remaining Honeywell project funds first and then from the Designation for Capital Projects related to public access, green initiatives and internal rehabs account.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be and is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Kahle Builder, LLC for window replacement.
