Title
Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Works/City Engineer to amend an existing Contract with Harwood Engineering Consultants for Engineering Consulting Services related to retrofitting LED lighting in city buildings for an amount not to exceed $18,500.00.

WHEREAS, the City has an existing agreement with Harwood Engineering Consultants in the amount of $29,455.00 to perform an assessment of existing City facilities with regard to lighting types, quantities and electrical systems presently in use and to identify opportunities to replace existing lighting systems at various City buildings with LED technology and to prepare an energy reduction plan for each building that measures energy savings; and,
WHEREAS, the City will need further assistance from Harwood Engineering Consultants to produce drawings of each facility for light removals and additions. The City will also need assistance in producing specifications that can be used for bidding the procurement and installation of LED lighting equipment and in the review of shop drawing submittals and in the coordination with Focus on Energy for Bonus Rebates.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated July 27, 2017 submitted by Harwood Engineering Consultants for furnishing Engineering Consulting Services related to retrofitting LED lighting in city buildings for an amount not to exceed $18,500.00 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be and is hereby authorized to enter into an amended Professional Services Contract with Harwood Engineering Consultants for Engineering Consulting Services and that the Director of Public Works/City Engineer is directed and authorized to use the Buildings & Facilities Capital Improvement Fund to pay for these services and related work.
