Resolution to accept the proposals of Truck Country of Wisconsin and Casper's Truck Equipment for furnishing and delivering two (2) 2025 Freightliner 114SD tandem truck chassis for $140,172 each and two (2) Henderson 14' Mark E dump bodies with ice control material spreader package for $198,772 each for a total sum of $677,888.

Whereas, the Public Works Streets and Sanitation Division has a need to replace two 17-year old tandem axle dump trucks and material spreaders with new, more efficient and functional trucks which will enhance both our ice control plan as well as our street maintenance programs throughout the year; and,
Whereas, the 2024 approved budget includes $725,000 for the purchase of the above equipment; and,
Whereas, a cooperative proposal through Waukesha County Cooperative Purchasing Bid #2127 has been received for the two (2) 2025 Freightliner 114SD tandem truck chassis and Sourcewell National Cooperative Contract #080818-HPI has been received for the two (2) Henderson 14' Mark E dump bodies with ice control material spreader packages for the Public Works Sanitation and Streets Division of the City of West Allis; and,
Whereas, the Fleet Services Division of the Department of Public Works has determined that these contracts meet all desired specifications, and that the cooperative agreement proposals received are reasonable; and,
Whereas, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposals of Truck Country of Wisconsin and Casper's Truck Equipment be accepted.
Now Therefore, Be It Resolved by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposals dated September 3, 2024 by Truck Country of Wisconsin for the sum of $140,172 each, and September 6, 2024 by Casper's Truck Equipment for the sum of $198,772 each for a total sum of $677,888 be and are hereby accepted.
