Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI) for providing GIS software support and maintenance for a total net sum of $15,710.98.
Body
WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it has received a proposal for furnishing GIS software support and maintenance for various departments of the City of West Allis, that the proposal received was reasonable; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of ESRI be accepted; and,
WHEREAS, the Information Technology Department has determined that this contract is inappropriate for competitive selection because ESRI is the only company that can provide the necessary technical software updates and support for the GIS software products we currently use for our GIS platform.
WHEREAS, GIS, Engineering, Development, Water Utility, Storm Utility and Sanitary Utility Departments will split the budgeted cost of the software support and maintenance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated March 25, 2008 submitted by ESRI for furnishing GIS software support and maintenance for the period July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009 for the total net sum of $15,710.98 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid services.
