Title

Resolution to adopt City of West Allis Policies & Procedures Manual No. 1111, Monthly Employee Recognition Program.

Body

WHEREAS, the Common Council City of West Allis has adopted a 2017-2021 Strategic Plan which establishes goals, priorities, objectives, and strategies for the next five years to meet the needs of the community and the organization; and

WHEREAS, Strategic Goal #5  - Excellence in Government provides that “The City of West Allis will continually review the best methods for effective and efficient service delivery by utilizing continuous improvement and LEAN operation techniques.  Innovation and service excellence is expected and employees will be held accountable and rewarded for such;” and

WHEREAS, the resolution to adopt the Core Values and Core Competencies is being considered for possible adoption on December 19, 2017; and

WHEREAS, the Employee Recognition Survey conducted earlier in 2017 demonstrated respondents desire to be recognized for improvements and efficiencies.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City West Allis adopts Policy #1111, Monthly Employee Recognition Program.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Administrator is authorized and directed to distribute said policy to all department, divisions and office.
