Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Peterbilt of WI and Truck Country of WI for furnishing and delivering four (4) truck cab & chassis for a total sum of $274,044.00.
Body
WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it duly advertised a request for proposal for furnishing and delivering four (4) truck cab & chassis for the Public Works Department of the City of West Allis, that the proposals received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposals of Peterbilt of WI and Truck Country of WI be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated February 7, 2006 submitted by Peterbilt of WI for furnishing one (1) 2007 Peterbilt 320 41,000 GVW low entry truck cab & chassis for $82,426.00 and the proposal dated February 8, 2006 submitted by Truck Country of WI for furnishing one (1) 2007 Freightliner M2106 and two (2) 2007 Freightliner M2106V 64,000 GVW tandem axle truck cab & chassis for $63,206.00 each for a total net sum of $274,044.00 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid equipment.
