Title

Resolution relative to relocating the polling place for the Thirteenth Ward of the Third Aldermanic District from Marian University to Lane Intermediate School at 1300 S. 109 St.

Body

WHEREAS, Marian University is currently the assigned voting location for Ward 13 of the Third Aldermanic District; and,

WHEREAS, Marian University notified the City Clerk that it would no longer be able serve as a polling place on Election Day after the 2015 Spring Election; and,

WHEREAS, it is necessary to relocate the polling place to another acceptable site; and,

WHEREAS, the use of Lane Intermediate School effectively serves the needs of the electorate, it is located in the 13^th Ward of the Third Aldermanic District, and the school can be accommodated as a voting place with minimal preparation; and,

WHEREAS, the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District has agreed to cooperate with the City for this purpose.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the polling place for the Thirteenth Ward of the Third Aldermanic District shall be changed from Marian University to Lane Intermediate School at 1300 S. 109 St., and said location is hereby designated as the polling place for the Thirteenth Ward of the Third Aldermanic District.
