Resolution relative to transferring $134,910.00 from the Contingency Fund to the Police Department Automotive Capital Account for purchasing five (5) Police Squad Cars and one (1) Parking Checker Vehicle from Ewald Automotive Group.

WHEREAS, The order will be placed in 2013, funds will need to be placed in the 2013 budget due to contractual agreement; and,
WHEREAS, Ewald Automotive Group, the State of Wisconsin and V.A.L.U.E. in Local Government contract holder will provide pricing for 2014 Police vehicles.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated October 18, 2013 submitted by Ewald Automotive Group for furnishing and delivering five (5) 2014 Chevrolet Impala Police 4-door Squad cars for $106,215.00 and one (1) 2014 Jeep Wrangler Parking Checker vehicle for $28,695.00 for a total net sum of $134,910.00 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the sum of $134,910.00 be and is hereby transferred from the Contingency Fund to the Police Automotive Account 100 2101 521 7002.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Contingency Fund will be repaid a like sum from the 2014 Police Department Automotive Capital Budget.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid vehicles.
