Title

Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Compass Minerals for furnishing and delivering 7200 tons of deicing road salt for a total sum of $443,736.00.

Body

WHEREAS, The Purchasing Division has reported that it has received a joint purchase proposal through the State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation for furnishing and delivering deicing road salt for the 2015-2016 winter season for the Public Works Department of the City of West Allis, that the proposal received was reasonable; and,

WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Compass Minerals be accepted.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal submitted by Compass Minerals for furnishing 6000 tons seasonal fill and 1200 tons reserve fill at $61.63/ton for a total net sum of $443,736.00 be and hereby accepted.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid material.
