Resolution relative to Map Amendment to the 2010 Comprehensive Land Use Plan for the City of West Allis to indicate a change from industrial land use to commercial land use for certain properties located between S. 70 St. - S. 76 St. north of W. Walker St., pursuant to Wis. Statutes Sec. 62.23. (Tax Key Numbers 440-0002-006; 440-0003-001; 440-0003-002; 440-0004-001; 440-0004-005; 440-0004-003 and the vacated W. Walker St.)

WHEREAS, the City of West Allis, under the Plan Commission of the City of West Allis, did adopt a Master Land Use Plan (the "Master Plan") on February 27, 1991, for the general purpose of guiding and accomplishing a coordinated, adjusted and harmonious development of the City which will, in accordance with existing and future needs, best promote public health, safety, morals, order, convenience, prosperity and general welfare, as well as efficiency and economy in the process of development; and,
WHEREAS, the effect of a Master Plan is solely to aid the City Plan Commission and the Common Council in the performance of their respective duties; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of West Allis is authorized to adopt amendments to the Master Plan for the City of West Allis; and,
WHEREAS, a Master Plan Map amendment (the "Amendment"), dated November 30, 2005, has been prepared by the Development of Department on behalf of the City of West Allis, and on November 30, 2005, reviewed by the Plan Commission which recommended Common Council approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Map amendment to the Master Plan, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, be and is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the amended Master Plan Map shall supersede and replace all such prior plans, including the Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Amendment to the Master Plan Map, by this Resolution, be recorded on the Master Plan ...
