Resolution to accept the proposals of various nurseries for furnishing and delivering 434 trees for 2024 spring planting for a total net sum of $42,297.50.

WHEREAS, the Finance Department has reported that it has duly advertised a request for proposal for various species of trees for the Department of Public Works of the City of West Allis, that the proposals received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposals hereinafter mentioned be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis the proposals submitted by Acorn Farms for 44 trees at $5,379, Chestnut Ridge for 79 trees at $7,832, Kankakee for 23 trees at $2,075, Leaves Inspired for 87 trees at $6,914, Meacham for 27 trees at $2,647.50, and Schichtel for 174 trees at $17,450, for 434 trees for a total net amount of $42,297.50. Funding is provided from the following accounts CDBG (220-7522-563-53-16) (project C22401) 308 trees at $29,946, and Forestry budget (100-4301-533-53-02) 126 trees at $12,351.50 in accordance with City of West Allis RFP #24-001 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Department be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid trees.
