Resolution relative to determination of an Application for a Special Use Permit for Piece of Love, a proposed bakery, to be located at 6768 W. Lincoln Ave.

WHEREAS, Ana Gonzalez, the applicant on behalf of Piece of Love, duly filed with the City Clerk an application for a Special Use Permit, pursuant to Sec. 12.16 and Sec. 12.41(2) of the Revised Municipal Code of the City of West Allis, to establish a bakery (food production, limited) at 6768 W. Lincoln Ave.; and,
WHEREAS, after due notice, a public hearing was held by the Common Council on January 5, 2021 at 7:00 p.m., in the Common Council Chambers to consider the application; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council, having carefully considered the evidence presented at the public hearing and the following pertinent facts noted:
1. The applicant, Ana Gonzalez, has a lease agreement for the property located at 6768 W. Lincoln Ave. with the owner, Karvansara, LLC.
2. The proposed commercial space, to be located within the existing multi-tenant building at 6768 W. Lincoln Ave., West Allis, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, more particularly described as follows, to-wit:
All the land of the owner being located in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 3, Township 6 North, Range 21 East, City of West Allis, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, described as follows:
Lot 13 in Block 6 of the Juneau Highlands subdivision.
Tax Key No. 475-0220-000
Said land being located at 6768 W. Lincoln Ave.
3. The applicant proposes to establish a bakery and will specialize in decorating personalized cakes, and creating balloon and floral arrangements for special occasions.
4. The aforesaid premise is zoned C-2 Neighborhood Commercial District under the Zoning Ordinance of the City of West Allis, which permits a bakery as a Special Use pursuant to Sec. 12.16 and Sec. 12.41(2) of the Revised Municipal Code.
