Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of various suppliers for furnishing and delivering chimney seals, valves, water boxes and extensions for a total sum of $157,510.47.

WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it duly advertised a request for proposal for furnishing and delivering chimney seals, valves, water boxes, extensions and various related hardware for the Public Works Department of the City of West Allis, that the proposals received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposals of Ferguson Waterworks, First Supply-Milwaukee and HD Supply Waterworks be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated March 7, 2011 submitted by Ferguson Waterworks for furnishing chimney seals, gate valves and corporation stops in the amount of $65,696.55; the proposal dated March 7, 2011 submitted by First Supply-Milwaukee for furnishing curb box extensions and gate valves in the amount of $87,196.99 and the proposal dated March 5, 2011 submitted by HD Supply Waterworks for furnishing butterfly valves in the amount of $4,616.93 for the total net sum of $157,510.47 in accordance with City of West Allis RFP #1121 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into contracts for the aforesaid materials.
