Resolution relative to accepting the sole source proposal of Synergy Broadcast System for furnishing and installing one (1) Playback Server Unit for a total net sum of $40,835.00.
Body
WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that the Cable Communications Office has received a proposal for furnishing and installing a Playback Server Unit to run programs on the City Cable Channel; and,
WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Synergy Broadcast Systems be accepted; and,
WHEREAS, the Cable Communications Office of the Department of Administration & Finance has determined that this contract is inappropriate for competitive selection due to the single source availability of equipment meeting their technical requirements that will be compatible with their current system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal submitted by Synergy Broadcast System for one (1) Synergy Broadcast DS-1000 Playback Server for $21,195.00, one (1) Synergy DE-250 SDI/H.264 Encoder for $8,495.00, one (1) Informa Channel Brading System for $7,995.00 and misc. audio & video cabling & connectors, installation and shipping for $3,150.00 for the total net sum of $40,835.00 be and is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid equipment.
