Title

An Ordinance to Create Section 2.10(11) of the West Allis Revised Municipal Code Relating to Appeals of the Clerk/Treasurer's Decision Related to Candidates and Elections.

Body

The Common Council of the City of West Allis do ordain as follows:

PART I.                     Section 2.10(11) of the Revised Municipal Code is hereby created to read:

2.10                     CITY CLERK/TREASURER.

(11)                     Appeals.  Section 2.48 of the Revised Municipal Code notwithstanding, determinations of the Clerk/Treasurer with regard to candidates being eligible to be placed on the ballot, as well as any other issue regarding candidates, ballots and elections shall be appealed to the State Elections Board pursuant to Section 5.06, Wis. Stats.

PART II.                     All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

PART III.                     This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
