Resolution relative to amending the City of West Allis Policies & Procedures Manual No. 405, Disciplinary Action for City Officials and Department Heads Appointed by the Mayor and Confirmed by the Common Council, under Mayor.

WHEREAS, Policy No. 405, Disciplinary Action for City Officials and Department Heads Appointed by the Mayor and Confirmed by the Common Council, was originally included in the City of West Allis Policies & Procedures Manual on January 23, 2006, and revised on September 6, 2011; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend said policy at this time to comply with Policy No. 404 (Recruitment, Selection, Appointment, and Confirmation for City Officials and Department Heads Appointed by the Mayor and Confirmed by the Common Council) and Ordinance No.
O-2014-0029, "An Ordinance to repeal Subchapter II of Chapter II of the City of West Allis Revised Municipal Code (Department of Administration & Finance) and recreate Subchapter II of Chapter II of the City of West Allis Revised Municipal Code (Administrative and Financial Support Departments/Services);" and
WHEREAS, the amended policy has been reviewed by the Mayor, City Administrator, City Attorney, and Human Resources Director and recommended for approval by the Common Council; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that Policy No. 405, Disciplinary Action for City Officials and Department Heads Appointed by the Mayor and Confirmed by the Common Council, is approved as presented in the attached restatement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Administrator is authorized and directed to include the amended Policy No. 405 in the City of West Allis Policies & Procedures Manual and distribute said policy to all departments, divisions, and offices.
