Title

Resolution Authorizing and Directing the Director of Public Works/City Engineer to Pay For Sanitary Sewer Lateral Services at 2361 South 63^rd Street in the amount of $1,405.51.

Body

WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has a long standing policy of the City's responsibility for making repairs to sanitary sewer laterals from the point of connection to the main sanitary sewer line up through the riser connection; and,

WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has determined that the sanitary sewer lateral at 2361 South 63^rd failed at the riser connection based on field observations; and,

WHEREAS, Mr. Steven Unger incurred costs related to determining that the lateral failure was the responsibility of the City based on past policy and consistent with that policy, is asking for reimbursement for services provided by Roto-Rooter and J.R. Plumbing, Inc.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be and is hereby authorized and directed to make fair reimbursement for services to Mr. Steven Unger in the amount of $1,405.51.
