Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Works/City Engineer to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Wauwatosa for purchasing brine as needed during the 2016-2017 winter season.
WHEREAS, the Public Works Division has purchased the necessary equipment to spread brine solution for the 2016-2017 winter season; and,
WHEREAS, the Division at this time does not have the facilities to actually make the brine solution; and,
WHEREAS, senior staff approached representatives from the City of Wauwatosa to purchase brine solution at their standard rate of $0.20 per gallon: and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wauwatosa has agreed to supply the City of West Allis with brine solution and have forwarded their standard Memorandum of Understanding that they have with the Village of Elm Grove that the City Attorney has approved as to form: and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the Memorandum of Understanding be approved and that the Director of Public Works/City Engineer is authorized and directed to sign the document and make any and all other related arrangements on behalf of the City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the payment for the brine be taken from the appropriate City account.
