Resolution authorizing and directing the City Engineer to enter into an agreement with Nawkaw for staining of the outside brick on Fire Station No. 1 not to exceed $9,500.
Body
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has expressed concerns with the poor appearance of the brick work completed on Fire Station No. 1; and,
WHEREAS, the prime contractor, WB Corporation, is not responding to requests by the Engineering and Fire Departments to make repairs to the brick work as originally agreed upon; and,
WHEREAS, City personnel along with the architect have investigated, reviewed and have recommended that Nawkaw Corporation be selected to stain the brick to correct it's poor appearance at the same time Nawkaw Corporation stains some brick on the New Fire Department Administration Building; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the City Engineer be and is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with Nawkaw Corporation in an amount not to exceed $9,500 to stain the outside brick on Fire Station No. 1 if WB Corporation refuses to complete the work.
