An Ordinance to Establish Parking Restrictions on the North and South Side of the 7200 and 7300 Block of W. Becher Street.

WHEREAS, The Common Council of the City of West Allis approved a Joint Agreement Between the School District of West Allis - West Milwaukee, Et. Al. and the City of West Allis on December 17, 2013 with Resolution 2013-0285, and
WHEREAS, The above Joint Agreement said that there shall be a median installed in Becher Street, opposite the new curb cut at Jefferson Elementary School in order to prevent drivers from turning left out of the new Jefferson Elementary School driveway. The median design and construction shall be approved by the Engineering Division and the construction of which will be paid for by the School District, and
WHEREAS, The loss of street width to be occupied by the new 6 foot wide median will necessitate the permanent restriction of parking on both sides of W. Becher Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Common Council of the City of West Allis do ordain as follows:
PART I. Pursuant to Section 10.10 of the Revised Municipal Code, the following parking restriction is established:
Street: W. Becher Street
Block: 7200 and 7300 Blocks except the East 120 feet of the 7200 Block and except the West 120 feet of the 7300 Block
Side: Both
Restriction: No Parking Anytime
PART II. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
PART III. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication and after the City installs the necessary signage to support this ordinance.
