Resolution to transfer up to $130,000 from the Contingency Fund to the Fire Department Equipment Account (100-2201-522.70-03) for the purchase of two ambulances and one pumper.
Body
WHEREAS, the Fire Department is in need of purchasing two new ambulances and one new pumper; and,
WHEREAS, the cost of these three units for the Fire Department is approximately $522,000; and,
WHEREAS, the final cost is not yet determined; and,
WHEREAS, at the current time, the Fire Department has approximately $430,000 in its Capital Accumulation Equipment Fund; and,
WHEREAS, the Police & Fire Commission will consider the approval of the purchase of these three units at its meeting on October 21, 2004; and,
WHEREAS, this transfer from the Contingency Fund can be repaid from the Fire Department's 2005 Capital Equipment Account when additional funds for this purpose become available in next year's budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that up to $130,000 is hereby approved for transfer from the City's Contingency Fund to the Fire Department's Equipment Account (100-2201-522.70-03) for the purchase of the two ambulances and the one pumper.
