Resolution approving the proposal from Badger Oil Equipment Company for upgrades to the fuel distribution facilities in an amount not to exceed $16,000.
Body
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department supplies fuel to all city departments along with the Village of West Milwaukee; and,
WHEREAS, the current operation system is outdated with replacement parts difficult to obtain; and,
WHEREAS, updating the operating system was budgeted for in 2014 in anticipation of the fact that if the old system failed, replacement parts or system components may not be able to be obtained and emergency fuel would need to be purchased privately.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated March 6, 2014 from Badger Oil equipment, Milwaukee, is hereby accepted in an amount not to exceed $16,000.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to issue a purchase order for the aforesaid service and the Director of Public Works/City Engineer is authorized to sign the proposal.
