Title

Resolution requesting the transfer of $11,000 from the City's Productivity Fund to Information Technology Capital Account for the purchase of PowerMan software.

Body

WHEREAS, the annual budget for the City of West Allis always includes a specified amount in the Reserve for Productivity and Operational Improvements (Account No. 100-0000-345-1300); and

WHEREAS, the amount in the Reserve as of January 1, 2014, is $200,000; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Common Council are interested in ways to improve technological efficiency and reduce costs; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Information Technology, in accordance with a Power Use Study performed June through August of 2013, has identified software that can better conserve electricity use by city technology, resulting in savings in utility bills; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide additional funds to the Information Technology Capital Account 100-1101-517-7005 to cover the cost of acquiring the software.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that $11,000 is hereby approved for transfer from the City's Productivity Fund to the Information Technology Capital Account.
