Resolution relative to the transfer of $35,000 from the City of West Allis from one or all of the following funds: General Fund, Contingency Fund or Land and Building Fund to the Community Development Authority of the City of West Allis to explore the acquisition and redevelopment of the properties located at 11528 W. Rogers St. and 11406 W. Rogers St. (Tax Key Nos. 481-9993-010 and 481-9993-013)
Body
WHEREAS, the Common Council has historically determined that redevelopment of under-performing or brownfield properties are an opportunity for the City to revitalize neighborhoods and expand the City's tax base; and,
WHEREAS, the properties located at 11528 W. Rogers St. and 11406 W. Rogers St. are for sale and are an opportunity to offer a higher tax base through redevelopment; and,
WHEREAS, the transfer of funds will permit the Community Development Authority of the City of West Allis to explore acquisition of said properties.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis does hereby approve the transfer of $35,000 from the City of West Allis from one or all of the following funds: General Fund, Contingency Fund or Land and Building Fund to the Community Development Authority of the City of West Allis to explore the acquisition and redevelopment of the properties located at 11528 W. Rogers St. and 11406 W. Rogers St.
