Resolution showing no 2016 increase in storm water management charges.

 

Body

WHEREAS, Section 1.07(4)(e) authorizes the Common Council to revise storm water management system user charges, as necessary, to insure that the system generates adequate revenues to fund the management of the City’s storm water system, to include but not be limited to, involvement and reinvestment in, and the maintenance and improvement of new and existing infrastructures, and other improvements to the system that will reduce flooding and urban non-point source pollution in storm water run-off consistent with federal and state regulations; and,

 

WHEREAS, the 2016 budget approved by the Common Council on November 17th, 2015 requires no change in the storm water management system user charge to fund the cost of the storm water system, including investment and reinvestment in new and existing infrastructure

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that there be no 2016 increase in the storm water management user charge and the rate remains $19.29 per ERU, be and is hereby approved effective January 1, 2016

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Manager be and is hereby directed to notify each user of the Sanitary Sewer Collection System of the aforesaid rate increase as provided in Section 1.07(4)(f) of the Revised Municipal Code.
