Title

Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI) for providing GIS software for a total net sum of $6,300.00.

Body

WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it has received a proposal for furnishing GIS software for the Forestry Department of the City of West Allis; and,

WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of ESRI, Inc. be accepted; and,

WHEREAS, the GIS Department has determined that this contract is inappropriate for competitive selection because ESRI is the only company that sells the specific product and services needed for our GIS platform.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated March 17, 2008 submitted by ESRI, Inc. for one (1) ArcEditor concurrent use license for the total net sum of $6,300.00 be and is hereby accepted.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid software.
