Title

Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of Milwaukee 2-Way, Inc. for providing radio equipment maintenance contract services for a total net sum of

$28,193.91.

Body

WHEREAS, The Purchasing/Central Services Division has reported that it has received a proposal for providing maintenance services for the trunked mobile radio system for the Police, Fire and Public Works Departments of the City of West Allis, that the proposal received was reasonable; and,

WHEREAS, The Common Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of West Allis that the proposal of Milwaukee 2-Way, Inc. be accepted; and,

WHEREAS, the Purchasing/Central Services Division of the Department of Administration & Finance has determined that this contract is inappropriate for competitive selection due to the sole source nature of trunked radio communication equipment.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of West Allis that the proposal dated December 6, 2004 submitted by Milwaukee 2-Way, Inc. for furnishing parts and labor maintenance contract support for 2005 for the total net sum of $28,193.91 be and is hereby accepted.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Purchasing/Central Services Division be and is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the aforesaid services.
