Title

Resolution approving the gifting of Canine Diesel from the West Allis Police Department to Corporal Ryan McNally.

 

Body

WHEREAS, Canine Diesel began his career on November 16, 2009 and was assigned as the full time partner of Corporal Ryan McNally; and

 

WHEREAS, Canine Diesel and Corporal Ryan McNally have participated in numerous narcotics seizures, tracking of suspects, building searches, and demonstrations for the community; and

                     

WHEREAS, Canine Diesel and Corporal Ryan McNally are a well-respected Canine team in the State of Wisconsin and have been excellent ambassadors for the West Allis Police Department and City of West Allis; and

 

WHEREAS, Canine Diesel and Officer Ryan McNally’s professionalism have been recognized by the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Canine Handlers Association as K-9 Rookie of the Year in 2009 and K-9 of the Year in 2014; and

 

WHEREAS, Canine Diesel was from retired from police service on September 24, 2017.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of West Allis that Canine Diesel be given as a gift to Corporal Ryan McNally with the obligation that Corporal McNally assume future costs, liabilities, and responsibilities associated with Canine Diesel.
