Resolution to approve bid of LaLonde Contractors, Inc. for the removal and reconstruction of the concrete alley pavement, storm sewer, storm sewer relay, utility adjustments and storm underdrain in the East/West alley between S. 74th St. and S. 75th St.: W. Greenfield Ave. to W. Orchard St and the North/South and East/West alley between S. 87th St. and S. 88th St.: W. National Ave. to W. Becher St. in the City of West Allis, in the amount of $296,790.58.

WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works reports that it duly advertised for bids for the furnishing of certain materials and the performance of all work required for the improvements in a certain area as hereinafter described; that the bids received as shown on the attached bid report were reasonable and hereby recommends and deems it to be for the best interests of the City of West Allis that the bid of LaLonde Contractors, Inc. for 2014 Project No. 8 be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of West Allis that the bid of LaLonde Contractors, Inc. for 2014 Project No. 8 for:
the removal and reconstruction of the concrete alley pavement, storm sewer, storm sewer relay, utility adjustments and storm underdrain in:
1. East/West alley between S. 74th St. and S. 75th St.: W. Greenfield Ave. to W. Orchard St.
PLAN FILE NOS. AP-451 & U-2584
2. North/South and East/West alley between S. 87th St. and S. 88th St.: W. National Ave. to W. Becher St.
PLAN FILE NOS. AP-464 & U-2583
for the sum of Two Hundred Ninety-Six Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety and 58/100 dollars ($296,790.58)
be accepted, and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to enter into contractual relations with said contractor for the performance of said work, in accordance with the prices submitted in their proposal and with the specifications of the City of West Allis, and that all other bids received for same be rejected; and,
