Resolution relative to determination of Special Use Application to establish a health club (Curves Health Club), within a portion of the multi-tenant building located at 10820-22 W. National Ave. (Tax Key No. 520-0010-001)
Body
WHEREAS, Jean Loomis, d/b/a Curves, duly filed with the City Administrative Officer-City Clerk/Treasurer an application for a special use permit, pursuant to Sec. 12.16 of the Revised Municipal Code, to establish a health club/fitness center within a portion of the existing multi-tenant building at 10820-22 W. National Ave.; and,
WHEREAS, after due notice, a public hearing was held by the Common Council on May 17, 2005, at 7:00 p.m., and in the Common Council Chamber to consider the application; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council, having carefully considered the evidence presented at the public hearing and the following pertinent facts noted:
1. The applicant, Jean Loomis, d/b/a Curves, currently leases space at 11066 W. National Ave. and will lease the lower level of tenant space from the property owner, Ms. Vivian Paul Anton-Limberatos, who has offices on site at 10820-22 W. National Ave.
2. The applicant has made an application for special use to establish a health/fitness club within the lower level (approximately 2,200 square feet of space) at 10820-22 W. National Ave., West Allis, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, more particularly described as follows:
All the land of the owner being located in the Southeast ΒΌ of Section 7, Township 6 North, Range 21 East, City of West Allis, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, described as follows:
Southwesterly 30 feet of Lot 15 and Lot 16 including adjacent vacated street right-of-way, in Block 1 of the National Avenue Homesites Subdivision.
